The North American Beaver - what better way to introduce the smaller and medium sized mammals memorialized into art by Audubon?

A Canadian national symbol, the Beaver drew European colonists into the deep and wild areas of Kanata/New France.  Just to name a few, the aboriginal Algonquian, Iroquois, and Huron, created a working economy of fur trade with colonial French traders.  Those European folk liked their beaver hats.
